Real Estate Agents, Technology And Modern Marketing Tips
Good real estate agents are around for a long time. Over time, they learn a few little tricks of the trade that help them to stand out from the rest. One example of this is the way marketing materials are used for those wanting to sell their properties.
We have often mentioned the use of technology in real estate and there are a lot of real estate agents that have incorporated it into their business. Websites are the obvious example and having your property listed on the MLS is another. What about having your property listed on the web?
I can see a few frowns there as people puzzle over those words. Let me explain. Imagine your street address has its own domain and website. If your address is 1258 Fifth Avenue – why not register a domain – $10 for a year. You would then own 1258FifthAvenue.com (of dot info, dot net, there are many options). Cheap hosting can be found for a few dollars a month. Install a blog, or have a website created (or do it yourself; it’s not that hard with some of the software available today), and on it provide all the information that buyers may find interesting, including photos. Grab a video camera and record a guided tour of the home as well.
What about marketing? You could market your website everywhere. Don’t forget to start with your real estate agent. You can also put a sign up at the front of the property displaying the web address. Does it work, does it help to sell properties? In today’s market, every little extra helps. Besides, if it didn’t work, leading real estate agents wouldn’t bother doing it all for you. Ask your real estate agent if they can create a website for your property!
